This video shows a frozen supply line being repaired with a shark bite coupling. It won't hurt to keep extra parts such as 1/2," 3/4," and 3/4" couplings and elbows, along with a few feet of 1/2" and 3/4" inch pex pipe in your closet. Also, if possible, keep an extra pair of pipe cutters, as well as 1/2" and 3/4" shark bite release clips for just in case you need to remove a shark bite coupling during the repair process. If your local hardware store is a long drive and closes early, these tips can save you hours of time and maybe keep you from having to spend the night at your deer camp without any water. I've had to make repairs in the dark like this and it isn't any fun, but having emergency pex fittings can make things go alot faster under non-ideal circumstances.
